In this role, you'll support users across the department to access and use transport data effectively, improve dashboards and reporting tools, and contribute to performance and investment planning. If you're passionate about turning data into actionable insights, we'd love to hear from you.
In the role of Analyst (Asset Management Systems), you will provide timely support and guidance to users of asset management systems to help them update, access, and use transport infrastructure data effectively. This includes improving dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical processes that support performance reporting and investment planning across TMR.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Provide timely support and guidance to users of asset management systems and dashboards, helping them access and use transport applications and data effectively.
• Support identifying system requirements and support user acceptance testing across asset management platforms to ensure solutions are practical and meet user needs.
• Deliver accurate and up-to-date transport infrastructure data using the existing Infrastructure Asset Management Solution (ARMIS) and other sources to support reporting and planning.
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using modern data platforms, integration tools and visualisation technologies to support performance and investment decisions.
• Maintain reliable processes for performance and financial reporting, ensuring consistency and data integrity.
To thrive in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance and training on system functionality and data visualisation tools, and actively contributing to a learning and knowledge-sharing culture.
• Proven experience in using data systems and analytical tools to extract, interpret, and present transport-related information, supporting decision-making and performance reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of governance principles, with the ability to verify and audit data, maintain systematic processes, and uphold integrity in managing transport information, including applying data quality principles and identifying data risks.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to diverse audiences and translate complex data insights into accessible formats for stakeholders.
• Capability to support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance system usability, data quality, and reporting processes, while ensuring alignment with organisational standards and operational needs.
Additional Benefits this role offers:
• Work and Life balance, including 'flex time' and flexible work arrangements and a working from home option.
• Beautiful City location close to active and public transport, with just over a 10 minute walk from Central Station.
• Work with a supportive team, with a high level of training and development invested in each staff member
• Generous leave and superannuation
Joining the Transport System Asset Management unit will give you a down-to-earth working environment with a highly skilled and collaborative team, along with competitive remuneration, training and benefits.
