Mamu Health Service Limited is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) committed to delivering high-quality health and community services. We deliver culturally safe, inclusive, and responsive programs and services in partnership with our community, ensuring that health equity and community control remain at the heart of all we do.
We are seeking a motivated and creative Communications Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for driving internal and external communications, developing promotional materials, maintaining digital platforms, and coordinating events to strengthen engagement with our community and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging promotional materials, newsletters, reports, and digital content.
- Manage and maintain organisational websites, social media platforms, and other digital channels.
- Support the planning, promotion, and evaluation of events, health promotion campaigns, and community activities.
- Provide strategic communications advice to management and ensure consistency in brand messaging.
- Prepare accurate reports and contribute to organisational compliance with policies, confidentiality, and accreditation standards.
Selection Criteria
Applicants must address the following criteria in their application:
- Demonstrated experience in communications, marketing, or public relations, including the design and development of promotional material, newsletters, reports, and digital content.
- Proven skills in managing and maintaining digital platforms, including websites and social media, to ensure accurate, timely, and engaging communication with community members and stakeholders.
- Strong event coordination and health promotion support skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to plan, promote, and evaluate events and activities.
- Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide strategic advice to management, build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensure consistent brand messaging.
- Sound organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, prepare accurate reports, and comply with organisational policies, legal requirements, confidentiality, and accreditation standards.
