About us
Cape York Partnership is a non-profit Indigenous organisation empowering the people of Cape York. Our partnership consists of 10+ entities and initiatives working on areas of policy, empowerment, education, employment, health, language and culture. We co-design all our initiatives with the people of Cape York so they can lead the changes they need for their communities to prosper.
About the role
As an integral member of our Communications team, you will work across all our entities and initiatives to create and share stories of success.
In any given week, you might write a feature story, photograph an event, shoot and edit a video, craft social posts, monitor our channels, publish a storis online or travel to a remote community to capture content.
You'll use your exceptional relationship management skills to liaise with a variety of stakeholders and have a knowledge of Australian Indigenous culture to communicate effectively with this audience.
We don't expect you to be an expert in everything. We value potential, creativity and a willingness to learn. You'll have access to professional development and on-the-job training to strengthen your skills.
This role does include some travel across Cape York, giving you the opportunity to connect directly with communities and capture stories on the ground. Generous salary sacrifice benefits are available.
Before commencing, all Cape York Partnership positions require successful applicants to satisfy a National Criminal History Check, have a Working with Children Blue Card and hold a valid Driver Licence.
