The Medical Imaging Department at Townsville University Hospital delivers comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services, including advanced Nuclear Medicine and Radiology. As part of the Surgical Service Group, the unit supports emergency, inpatient, and outpatient care across Northern Australia's largest tertiary hospital.

Competitive salary and benefits
- Salary between $ – $ per fortnight (L4 – L7 Principal House Officer / L4 – L9 Registrar).
- 4 to 6 weeks p.a. recreational leave with % loading.
- Generous employer contribution to superannuation of 12.75%.

About your opportunity
As a Principal House Officer / Nuclear Medicine Registrar, you will support the delivery of Nuclear Medicine and Radiology services in accordance with best practice models. This is a non-accredited training position, ideal for clinicians seeking to expand their diagnostic imaging expertise in a tertiary setting. You will work closely with Staff Specialists and contribute to patient care across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services.
Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent (AMC).
- Minimum two years of post-graduate clinical medical experience.
- General Registration with the Australian Medical Board (no restrictions).
- Australian Permanent Residency or valid work visa for the full duration of the role.
- Evidence of vaccination or immunity to VPDs as per Queensland Health Policy.
- A probationary period may apply.
