About the role

As a
Project Officer
, you'll play a key role in the
Regional Interventions Planning and Engagement
team, supporting the design and delivery of initiatives aligned with strategic objectives.

This is a diverse, hands-on role where your
creativity, initiative, planning and collaboration skills
will be essential. You will work across teams and directorates, supporting cross-functional efforts to deliver regulatory and operational outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and support the development, coordination and communication on a range of business and project management activities
  • Gather and analyse data and insights to inform evidence-based decision making and improve the effectiveness of programs
  • Identify gaps and develop practical resources, tools, or guidance materials to support workers, businesses, and industry in understanding and meeting their safety obligations
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met on time and with quality outcomes
  • Work flexibly across multiple projects, balancing competing demands while ensuring delivery of outcomes on time and to a high standard
  • Ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established project management methodology.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate within a team and with external partners.
  • Skilled in writing clear and professional communications, resources and operational materials.

  • Experience working with or within a regulatory, compliance or government environment will be highly regarded.
