Executive Assistant - Good Things Australia
Join a purpose-driven team working to close Australia's digital divide and create lasting social impact.
- Full-time role (part-time negotiable) based in Sydney, with hybrid work arrangements
- Partner with a dynamic CEO to deliver strategic priorities and enable greater impact
- Be part of a values-led, inclusive organisation making a real difference for communities across Australia
Impact of the Organisation
Good Things Australia are future-focused digital inclusion leaders, advocating, partnering, educating and innovating to ensure no one is left behind in the digital world.
They design and deliver innovative programs to support those most in need – including older Australians, people with intellectual disability, migrant and refugee women, First Nations peoples, people with chronic health conditions, carers and low-income families.
Through partnerships with community organisations, industry and government, they provide holistic, sustainable programs and advocate nationally to close the digital divide. Since 2017, they have reached thousands of Australians, and as part of the Good Things Foundation Group, their impact extends internationally.
The Impact You Will Have in This Role
Reporting to the CEO, the Executive Assistant plays a pivotal role in enabling the CEO and executive team to deliver on strategic priorities and drive positive social impact.
This is a dynamic role that goes beyond traditional EA duties. The Executive Assistant will act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, manage key relationships, support governance processes and champion tools and systems that make the organisation run smarter.
The successful candidate will thrive in this role if they love bringing clarity to complexity, can anticipate needs before they arise, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO to manage their schedule, inbox, and priorities, enabling a clear focus on strategic outcomes and stakeholder engagement
- Prepare high-quality meeting materials, presentations, reports, and briefings
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate Board and Committee meetings, agendas, papers, minutes and governance compliance requirements
- Organise travel, events, and executive meetings for the CEO and leadership team
- Champion modern productivity tools (Google Workspace, AI tools, Salesforce CRM) to improve efficiency and collaboration
- Manage operational functions, including WHS protocols, office systems, and onboarding processes for new staff
Skills and Experience
You'll thrive in this role if you're a self-starter with strong people skills, a sharp eye for detail and the ability to stay organised while supporting a diverse team. You will also have:
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in senior administrative support for a senior leader
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High digital literacy, with experience in tools such as Google Workspace, CRM platforms and AI productivity tools
- Experience with Board coordination and governance processes
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with discretion and emotional intelligence
- Alignment with Good Things Australia's mission for equity, inclusion and positive change
The benefits of working at Good Things Australia
- Salary packaging - up to $15,900 tax-free annually
- An additional 3 paid leave days between Christmas and New Year
- Generous annual learning and development budget
- Hybrid flexible work arrangements - Sydney office (Hub Hyde Park) & home
- Employee Assistance Program - 6 sessions for you and your family
- An inclusive and diverse workplace where all cultures are celebrated

This is a fast-paced, highly rewarding role where you'll provide executive-level support, streamline operations and help the CEO focus on driving our mission forward
