Australia stands as a key market for UNIQLO in establishing its brand in the Asia and Oceania region and remains focused on continuing its growth. UNIQLO opened the first store, in Emporium, Melbourne, in April 2014, and as of today has expanded to 40 stores across Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland, and Australian Capital Territory.
The Role:
The Loss Prevention Associate [Full-time]is responsible for a variety of Loss Prevention tasks, such as preventing theft, performing investigations and inventory accuracy. Working closely with the Loss Prevention Manager, Business Operations Support Manager, and Store Operations, this role will have a focus on supporting the store team in ensuring the highest level of standards in policy and procedure are achieved. A focus of this role will be to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees and company assets.
No prior experience in Loss Prevention is required- comprehensive training will be provided by the Loss Prevention Team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform Covert Loss Prevention on the sales floor to identify potential theft.
• Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check as required for loss prevention duties.
• Work closely with store operations teams to improve customer service standards and enhance the overall shopping experience.
• Proactively deter theft by involving the Store Operations team in the implementation of key Loss Prevention procedures.
• Ensure Inventory Accuracy through cycle counts, stock takes and proactively clearing store clouds alerts and notices.
• Partner with Loss Prevention and Business Operations Support (BOS) to manage and resolve all field investigations.
• Ensure policy and procedures of internal controls are implemented through audits.
• Work with key stakeholders to communicate, monitor and enforce operational standards.
• Operate, monitor, and utilize internal surveillance and security equipment.
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Strong observation and communication skills.
• Good customer service skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
• Able to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations professionally.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize/multitask.
• Understanding of all UQAU policy, procedures, and best practice initiatives.
• Understanding and respect for confidentiality and sensitive information.
• Candidates must have valid Australian work rights or an acceptable work visa.
Working Hours:
This role will require you to be rostered across a variety of shifts including late night trading, weekends, and public holidays.
