HelpingMinds is seeking a strategic Business Development Manager to drive fundraising, partnerships, and procurement initiatives during a landmark period of growth. In this key leadership role, you will work closely with the CEO and Executive team to design and implement innovative business development strategies that grow our funding base, deepen community investment, and unlock new, long-term partnerships. The Role (not limited to):

  • Lead and execute business development strategies aligned with HelpingMinds' vision and values.
  • Identify and secure funding from government, corporate, and philanthropic sources.
  • Cultivate partnerships and oversee fundraising, donor engagement, and sponsorship initiatives, particularly in support of our 50th anniversary.
  • Prepare compelling grant applications and tender submissions in collaboration with internal teams.

About You

You have proven experience in business development and fundraising, with established connections in community and not-for-profit sectors. Strategic and values-driven, you excel at building relationships and managing grants to create lasting impact.

Desirable Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary Degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Marketing or a related field (highly desirable)
  • A Diploma of Business (Business Development) may be considered if business development experience is 5+ years

Candidates will also have:

  • National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
  • Proof of Australian Working Rights
  • Current Driver's license
