Azure Cloud Engineer Hands-On Role in Major Cloud Transformation

Were partnering with a major Australian enterprise as they modernise and scale their cloud environment and theyre looking for a hands-on Azure Cloud Engineer to join their high-performing engineering team. This isnt a sit in the corner and write strategy type of role youll be in the thick of it, building, deploying, and optimising real solutions that power critical platforms and services.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Building, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable Azure infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Automating everything you can with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform or Bicep) and scripting tools.
  • Creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Working with core Azure services like APIM, Service Bus, Event Grid, Key Vault, AKS, Functions, and more.
  • Supporting containerised apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Troubleshooting, optimising, and improving cloud environments to keep them running at peak performance.

What Were Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience engineering in Azure cloud environments (IaaS and PaaS).
  • Confident with IaC, automation, and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
  • Experience with DevOps tooling, pipelines, and continuous delivery.
  • Solid grasp of cloud networking, security, identity (AAD), and monitoring best practices.
  • A proactive, collaborative engineer who enjoys solving problems and delivering real solutions.
