Business Applications Lead, Queensland Treasury

In the role of Business Applications Lead, you will lead a team of professionals specialising in SharePoint, Power Apps, GitLab, relational databases, website development, geographic information systems and support for QGSO's data visualisation platform.
THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage a client-focused team who deliver and support innovative, quality, secure applications and web projects which are purpose built for teams within the office, all levels of government, stakeholders and the greater public.
Manage project and operational work using project management methodologies to prioritise, organise and implement resource and work schedules.
Support an environment where high level performance, quality client service, continuous improvement and innovation are valued and encouraged while promoting
staff development.
Communicate with well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to negotiate, advise, influence others and work
collaboratively with people including senior business, technical stakeholders and vendors to make decisions.
Prepare project proposals, business cases, briefing notes and reports to guide the development and implementation of solutions.
Research, maintain awareness and represent the Office's interests in the development of current and emerging application lifecycle and whole-of-Government
strategies, trends, policies, standards and guidelines.
SUCCESS CRITERIA
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
• experience in leading teams and change
• high level project management skills, application of project management methodologies/software development lifecycle, with the ability to achieve successful project outcomes
• management of multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organisational, time management and multitasking abilities
• ability to identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies effectively.
