Queensland Treasury is seeking an experienced leader to join our Fiscal Strategy & Financial Reporting (FSFR) branch as Director - Fiscal Oversight. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to influence Queensland's fiscal strategy, support the State Budget process, and provide expert advice on complex financial, commercial, and policy matters.
As a central agency, Treasury plays a critical role in driving the Queensland Government's economic growth priorities. Our FSFR branch provides strategic advice on the State's financial position, manages the preparation of whole-ofgovernment financial reports, and supports financial accountability legislation and policies.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to shape Queensland's economic future.
In this role, you will:
• Lead and manage a team to provide strategic advice on complex budget, commercial, financial management, and policy issues.
• Provide expert guidance on the whole-of-government financial position, fiscal strategy, and financial governance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, negotiating positive outcomes on complex financial and policy matters.
• Represent Treasury on State committees and interdepartmental working groups, and provide oral briefings for ministerial offices.
• Prepare and oversee the delivery of complex reports, submissions, and presentations within tight timeframes.
• Drive team-based strategies, priorities, and initiatives, fostering collaboration and high performance.

• Effective judgement, communication, and understanding of perspectives in developing solutions and working with others. Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
