An independent Australian aged care provider with over 20 years' experience, operating modern residential communities across Victoria and New South Wales. They deliver person-centered care across long-term residential, respite, dementia, and palliative services, with a focus on community, dignity, and meaningful engagement. Their approach blends compassionate care with innovative, high-quality facilities, empowering residents to live purposefully and stay connected.

The opportunity

Reporting to the CFO and leading a finance team of 3 direct reports and 15 indirect, the Financial Controller will:

  • Own all finance operations including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, payroll, and compliance.
  • Provide clear, actionable insights to guide the Executive Team and Board in strategic decision-making.
  • Analyse performance and costs to uncover opportunities, manage risks, and drive results.
  • Inspire, develop, and lead a high-performing team while enhancing systems, processes, and governance.

About you

We're seeking a hands-on finance leader with a thorough understanding of aged care who thrives in a collaborative, close-knit environment and can mentor and inspire their team. You bring technical expertise with influence and presence, simplifying complex financial information to help the business make confident, informed decisions. Resilient, approachable, and solutions-focused, you build trust across stakeholders while driving improvements and delivering results.

  • CA or CPA qualified, with 5+ years in senior finance roles, including 2+ years in aged care.
  • Strong commercial acumen across budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent Excel and finance system skills, turning data into actionable insights.
  • Proven leader who can inspire, mentor, and grow a high-performing team.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to partner across the business and drive results.
  • Current NDIS Workers Screening Checks
