About the Opportunity
As the Finance Analyst (Operations), you'll play a key role in cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for their Australian manufacturing plants. You'll collaborate with diverse stakeholders, translate complex financial data into actionable insights, and drive process improvements across finance systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with site leadership to prepare, support, and report on costs to forecast/budget for manufacturing plants.
- Execute end-of-month SAP activities, including product cost calculations and production variance management.
- Manage plant inventory accounting and ensure accurate reporting of costs of goods sold.
- Develop, manage, and deliver budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting aligned with business objectives.
- Prepare internal and external financial reporting, including variance and trend analysis.
- Support growth projects with financial modelling and capital investment business cases.
- Champion process and system improvements to streamline and standardise financial reporting.
What You Bring
- CA/CPA qualification (essential)
- Relevant experience in a similar role - ideally in manufacturing or mining services
- Advanced SAP capability (MM, FICO, COPA, PCA, BusinessObjects) and familiarity with Hyperion, PowerBI, and advanced Excel functions
- Deep understanding of standard costing, budgeting, and financial controls
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
- Strong financial modelling and scenario analysis skills
- High attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a continuous improvement mindset
