The Opportunity

The Future Fund Academy was established in 2022 as part of a three-year strategy that scaled the organisation's size and reach significantly. The Academy's primary purpose is to maintain, adapt and evolve our unique culture and sophisticated approach to investing, as well as to support the Agency's senior leadership on strategic areas. To do so, the Academy combines leadership development, investment skill building, strategy delivery, and is a platform for organisational change. 

This is a unique chance to shape the Future Fund Academy's impact at the highest level. As Director, Academy, you will drive the design and delivery of strategic programs that build organisational capability, foster collaboration, and champion innovation. You'll work closely with senior leaders to influence the direction of strategic imperatives like leadership development, investment acumen, responsible investing, and AI capability. Ensuring the Academy remains a centre of excellence and a catalyst for positive change.

Key Responsibilities

• Dynamic engagements on strategic challenges: Lead key elements of the Future Fund Academy's strategy, deploying programs that support senior leadership objectives.

• Decision science leadership: Supported by world-class global experts, lead the practice area for decision-making skills and strengthen the common language for collective decision evaluation.

• Senior leadership development: Take direct leadership of the Future Fund's dedicated development programs and group development days for senior leaders.

• Investment programs: Supported by the organisation's senior investment leaders and external experts, direct the design and delivery of investor development programs, teaching the Future Fund's unique joined-up whole-portfolio investment approach.

• Responsible investment: Strengthen the organisation's responsible investing capabilities. Increase investment leaders' understanding and integration of responsible investment strategies and know-how.

• AI capability: Take accountability for the Academy's role in elevating AI leadership and adoption across the Agency.

• Academy Leadership: As one of the Academy's senior leaders, set the strategy and programming for the Academy.

• Organisational leadership: Lead advisory activities across the wider Agency on leadership, strategy, and team cohesion. In addition, provide leadership and support to the Academy team. 

About You

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.  

• Experience delivering innovative programs, strategy design or investment capability building. 

• Reputation for bringing creative solutions to life that inspire.

• Proven ability to act on complex organisational challenges.

• Exceptional communication, influencing and facilitation skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders across diverse teams.

• Strategic mindset with a track record of aligning programs to organisational goals, diagnosing development needs and ability to translate strategy into practical solutions. 

• Results orientated and willing to take accountability for delivering measurable outcomes and high-quality programs.

• Broad intellectual curiosity across industries and technologies.
