Are you passionate about empowering people with disabilities to gain confidence, independence, and valuable workplace skills?

We're looking for a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our friendly team in our canteen and kitchen program.

About the Role

You'll be working alongside adults with disabilities, supporting them to develop hospitality and kitchen skills through hands-on learning experiences. This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same

Your main duties will include:

~ Assisting trainees with food preparation, cooking, and serving lunches

~ Supporting the team to operate our canteen, market, and function catering services

~ Providing hands-on training, encouragement, and supervision in a real café-style environment

~ Transporting trainees or supplies as required (must be able to drive)

~ Promoting independence, teamwork, and skill development among participants

~ Maintaining a clean, safe, and inclusive kitchen and dining space

About You

You're a patient, energetic, and compassionate person who enjoys helping others learn and succeed. You have a genuine interest in disability support and hospitality.

Essential Criteria:

Experience supporting people with disabilities (or willingness to learn)

Ability to work collaboratively in a team and follow kitchen hygiene and safety standards

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Current driver's licence and ability to drive (Need own car)

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)

Current First Aid Certificate

Food Handling Certificate (desirable)

Pay: $31.18 – $37.73 per hour

Expected hours: 7 – 28 per week
