Summary:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented National Distribution Officer to oversee the 3PL transportation, storage, and distribution of goods and materials for our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain management, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively coordinate with 3PL warehouses and logistics across VIC, SA, WA and QLD on daily inbound and outbound orders, ensuring smooth operations
  • Ensuring that 3PL warehouse and logistics operations in VIC, SA, WA and QLD meet customer expectations and adhere to service level agreements
  • Ensuring strict adherence to WHS, quality and environmental standards in all warehouse and logistics activities
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment across operations
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of products
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and other logistics-related data
  • Verify and allocate freight invoices, checking and resolving discrepancies
  • Effectively liase with 3PL and customers for returns, damaged or missing goods, delayed orders and/or any other issues that may arise
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices to enhance operational efficiency

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Formal qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Warehouse/Logistics
  • Strong coordination and time management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to assess, respond to and resolve internal and external service issues quickly
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite and relevant WMS and ERP softwares, Infor M3 preferred
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
