Care Business Group is the parent company for four service brands: Careva, Therapy Care, Assist Disability Services, and Spic N Span.
Together, we provide holistic supports across:
- Therapeutic Allied Health services
- Everyday living supports
- Home care and domestic services
- Behaviour support
- Support coordination
This role is employed through Careva, which delivers shared services across the Group.

About the Role
The People & Talent Partner plays a critical role in delivering Careva's workforce priorities and supporting the broader Care Business Group's 3-year growth strategy. This role attracts, engages, and onboards exceptional people across our disability, aged care, and shared-services entities, ensuring we have the capability needed for sustainable expansion. With a strong business development mindset, the People & Talent Partner partners closely with hiring managers and the People & Culture team to build a high-performing, compliant, and values-aligned workforce that supports our purpose of improving lives through meaningful work.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
Manage end-to-end recruitment across multiple business units, including job design, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, reference checking, and offers.
- Partner with external hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective sourcing strategies.
- Create engaging and values-driven job advertisements that reflect Careva's brand and culture.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
- Develop relationships with universities and recruitment partners to strengthen future talent channels.
- Maintain accurate recruitment data and metrics in Employment Hero and other relevant systems.
- Monitor recruitment KPIs such as total hires, time-to-hire, candidate conversion, and onboarding completion.
Independent Contractors & Network Growth
- Proactively engage, source, and onboard Independent Contractors to expand Careva's service network across the disability and aged care sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, ensuring alignment with Careva's quality, compliance, and values standards.
- Support contractor engagement agreements, right-to-work checks, and credential management in line with NDIS and organisational requirements.
- Identify opportunities to grow the contractor pool in high-demand service areas and regional locations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination between employees, contractors, and clients.
Onboarding & Candidate Experience
- Coordinate onboarding and induction for all new employees and contractors, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
- Prepare and issue employment contracts and starter documentation in line with legislative and Award requirements.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure new hires are fully equipped and supported from day one.
- Gather candidate and hiring manager feedback to continuously improve onboarding processes.
Employer Branding & Engagement
- Promote Careva as an employer of choice within the for-purpose sector.
- Contribute to recruitment marketing campaigns in partnership with the Marketing team (e.g., social media, career pages, and events).
- Support internal communications to share success stories, milestones, and staff achievements.
- Represent Careva at networking, university, and community events where required.
Workforce Planning & Compliance
- Maintain awareness of workforce trends and recruitment needs across entities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Modern Awards, Fair Work, and employment legislation.
- Support the development and maintenance of position descriptions and classification frameworks.
- Assist with reporting and analytics to inform workforce planning.
People & Culture Collaboration
- Work closely with the People & Culture Manager and Business Partner to align recruitment with broader P&C initiatives.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion objectives through fair and accessible hiring practices.
- Contribute to culture and engagement initiatives such as staff onboarding sessions and recognition programs.
- Participate in P&C projects and continuous improvement activities as required.
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment or talent acquisition,.
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end recruitment processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with candidates and stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, organisation, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using recruitment or HRIS platforms (e.g., Employment Hero, JobAdder, Seek).
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and values-driven work.
Desirable
- Sales training and/or experience
- Experience recruiting in the disability, community, or healthcare sectors.
- Knowledge of relevant Modern Awards (SCHADS, HPSS, Building & Construction).
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Business,or a related discipline.
- Understanding of workforce planning and retention strategies within a for-purpose organisation.

- Valid driver's license.
- Working rights in Australia.
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain).
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate (or valid medical exemption).
