About the role

Evergreen Contractors' is seeking a skilled Tractor operator to join our team in Metroplitan Melbourne. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work in the dynamic and rewarding vegetation management company. As a Tractor operator, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the reserve area of our clients'.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely operate and maintain various tractor attachments
  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on tractors and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Collaborate with the wider vegetation teams with opportunities to work in the arboricultural teams when required.
  • Monitor and report any issues or areas requiring attention
  • Adhere to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations to protect yourself, your team, and the environment

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Tractor operator
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain a variety of tractor attachments and equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve equipment issues
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in machinery operation would be advantageous
  • Construction induction card - White Card
  • MR/HR license would be advantageous
  • RIW card required
