Full Time Permanent Position

Band 6 - Salary Range $97,926 to $106,637 per annum + 12% Super + ADO

The Opportunity

We're currently seeking a skilled analytical and commercial professional to be part of a newly forming team supporting Council's financial decision-making and investment outcomes. Based at the Melton Civic Centre, you'll play a key role in delivering robust financial modelling and commercial analysis, while translating complex financial, operational and economic data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models to support Council's commercial projects, business cases, and investments.
• Provide financial and economic analysis across service and operating models, and non-traditional partnerships (e.g. PPPs, Joint Ventures)
• Conduct macroeconomic research, forecasting, and scenario planning to inform strategic decision-making.
• Prepare and present commercial insights and recommendations organisational stakeholders.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

• Tertiary qualifications and some relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications and substantial experience.
• Experience with commercial and procurement, different contract and service models, financial modelling and deal/opportunity assessment.
• Proficient in the application of a theoretical discipline and understanding the underlying principles as distinct from the practices used operationally.
