T Construction Pty Ltd is looking for a highly competent and experienced Painter and Decorator to join our busy team. We are located in Meadowbrook, Queensland 4131, and service all areas from the Gold Coast up to the Sunshine Coast, so travel is expected with the job however in saying that we will always try and put you on jobs closest to you first.

The work varies, and no two jobs are ever the same Typical painting works include:

· various types of painting using brushes, rollers, and sprays

· prepare paints with pigments, oil, and thinning or drying components

· varnish material

· wallpaper decoration

· removal of old paint

· prepare various surfaces, including wood and metal

· repair woodwork, fill holes and gaps, smooth cracks, seal surfaces, and level unevenness in material

· maintenance of new and old areas of buildings and structures

· use ladders, erect scaffolding, and place drop sheets

You must possess an Industry Construction Card (White Card) & Drivers Licence.

Reliability, flexibility, punctuality, and attention to detail are high on our list of must-haves as well as having an eye for detail and the ability to work unsupervised, show initiative and be able to problem-solve.

Having a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and consistently achieving client satisfaction will be fundamental to success in this role. You would have to be physically fit to take this position.

Skills and experience:

  • The successful applicant needs to hold a relevant qualification (for example Certificate III or Certificate IV in Painting and Decorating) with a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience as Painting Trades Worker.
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be able to handle the demands of the job.
  • A strong commitment to and understanding of OSH & E procedures and standards.
  • Have a desire to put their skills to use in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time 38 hours per week

Salary: $77,000 annual salary (based on qualifications and experience) plus superannuation
