Level 2 Engineer

When you come into the office, the first things you start doing it scanning the overnight tickets, prioritising what needs attention first. One client has a minor server alert, another needs a software rollout, and a third is calling to clarify a backup schedule. You like these moments, balancing reactive support with proactive fixes, keeping clients' systems running smoothly, and helping colleagues along the way.

By mid-morning, you're remotely assisting a client with an Azure configuration, checking Intune compliance, and documenting every step in IT Glue. Later, you mentor a junior team member through a tricky endpoint issue and ensure all tickets are up to date with meaningful notes. Every day is different, but the goal is the same: seamless service, confident clients, and efficient systems.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING


• Delivering hands-on IT support for a variety of client setups, both planned and on-demand


• Keeping client systems running smoothly through monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance


• Handling tickets, logging work, and managing timesheets accurately


• Keeping clients updated with clear, friendly communication throughout the support process


• Working closely with account managers and other teams to provide seamless service


• Guiding and assisting less-experienced team members


• Using a wide range of technologies and growing your technical skills continuously

Windows Server / Networking (firewalls) / Office 365 / Backups / VMware / Hyper-V / Azure / IP Telephony / PowerShell / Intune / Endpoint Management / Cybersecurity Solutions

YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE


• Minimum of 3 years working in IT support or technical roles within managed service providers


• Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to communicate confidently


• Self-motivated, attentive to detail, and enjoys troubleshooting issues


• Practical experience with Windows Server, networking, Office 365, and data backup solutions


• Familiarity with virtualization platforms, cloud services like Azure, scripting (PowerShell), or device management tools
