Forster Neighbourhood Centre is seeking a Financial Resilience and Capability Officer & No Interest Loans Officer (NILS) to join our Financial Wellbeing team.

Financial Resilience and Capability Officer The role offered is permanent part-time, 4 days per week (28 hours) under the SCHADS Award Level 3.

Essential Criteria

  1. Certificate III in Community Services and/or equivalent
  2. Strong financial management skills, especially with budgeting and debt management
  3. Demonstrated strong people/communication skills to identify client needs
  4. Demonstrated ability to work well within a small team, manage own schedule and organise work
  5. Class C Driver's License
  6. Ability to provide a Working with Children's Clearance and Criminal History Clearance.
  7. Ability to work autonomously across outreach locations
  8. Attention to detail, accuracy and follow through

Desirable Criteria

  1. Group facilitation/training skills
  2. Specific qualifications or certificates in financial counselling
  3. Knowledge of local issues and services

No Interest Loans Officer (NILS) The role offered is permanent part-time, 3 days per week (21 hours) under the SCHADS Award Level 3.

Essential Criteria

  1. Qualifications in Community Services and/or Financial Administration
  2. Bookkeeping experience
  3. Strong IT skills, especially with spread sheets and data entry
  4. Demonstrated good people/communication skills,
  5. Time management and organisational skills
  6. Demonstrated ability to work well within a small team
  7. Class C Driver's License
  8. Willingness to provide a Working with Children's Clearance and Criminal History Clearance.
  9. Some knowledge of household budgeting
  10. Attention to detail, accuracy and follow through

Desirable Criteria

  1. Knowledge of community-based, not-for-profit organisations
  2. Knowledge of local referral pathways and service networks
  3. Knowledge of local issues and services
