About the role:

Role : BigQuery Senior Data Architect

JD for the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead data architecture and strategy for a large-scale cloud-based data ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing enterprise data platform architectures, particularly in the multi-cloud environments using Google BigQuery, AWS data platforms, and other modern cloud-native data technologies to support high impact transformation programs. You will define and enforce best practices around scalable, secure, and trusted data platform to support analytics, Gen AI/Agentic AI/ML and personalization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, design, and evolve the enterprise data architecture aligned with business goals and AI & Cloud-first strategies.
• Lead the architecture of data platforms leveraging Google BigQuery, Data Flow , AWS Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, and related cloud-native services.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate strategic goals into actionable data architecture and solutions.
• Establish standards for data architecture, data governance, data quality, lineage, security, and metadata management.
• Work closely with data engineering, analytics, and product teams to ensure cohesive architecture design and implementation.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, platforms, and frameworks to support the data ecosystem.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineers and developers.
• Act as a key contributor to the data modernization and AI transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• 12+ years of experience in data architecture- data fabric / mesh frameworks, data engineering, or related roles within large enterprises.
• Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data architectures in cloud environments, especially Google Cloud (BigQuery) and AWS.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data aarchtectue patterns, data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and data lake/data warehouse architectures.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Terraform/CloudFormation (for infrastructure as code), and CI/CD pipelines for data.
• Expertise in data governance, data quality , data security, data privacy, and compliance (e.g., GDPR)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification(s) in Google Data Cloud Platform or AWS Data , AI/ML
• Experience with real-time data processing frameworks- Spark
• Familiarity with tools like google cloud, Big Q , AWS Redshift , dbt, Looker,Vertex AI
• Previous experience working in Media and Consumer industries or large transformation programs.
