As we expand our technology capabilities, we are seeking a Security Engineer with a strong background in Azure Cloud, cloud operations, and modern cybersecurity tools Netskope & Crowdstrike to join our team in Brisbane.

Role Overview:

As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud environments, with a particular focus on Azure. You'll be embedded in our cloud transformation journey and responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our systems across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement security measures for Azure-based cloud infrastructure.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives with security best practices and compliance in mind.
  • Monitor, assess, and improve the organization's security posture using industry-leading tools.
  • Collaborate with cloud operations and development teams to embed security into DevOps pipelines.
  • Respond to and manage security incidents, investigations, and remediation activities.
  • Maintain and support enterprise cybersecurity tools and platforms.

Experience & skills preference:

  • Proven experience in cloud security engineering, particularly in Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Strong understanding of cloud operations, DevOps security practices, and digital transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with the following tools and platforms:
  • CrowdStrike (including CrowdStrike Identity Protection) Essential
  • Netskope CASB  - Essential
  • Rapid7
  • CyberArk
  • Fortinet security solutions (firewalls, VPN, endpoint security)
  • Familiarity with risk management, threat modeling, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, Essential Eight).
  • Ability to assess and secure complex cloud architectures and hybrid environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as AZ-500, CISSP, CCSP, or other relevant security/cloud credentials.
  • Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps environments.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
