About This Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced eLearning Developer to join our team working from home but based on the Sunshine Coast. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for education, proficiency in instructional design tools and technologies, and a strong understanding of learning theory. As an eLearning Developer, you will play a pivotal role in creating and enhancing our online courses, ensuring they are engaging, effective, and aligned with the latest educational trends and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop interactive online courses using instructional design software and authoring tools.
- Utilise WordPress CMS and LearnDash LMS to manage and maintain our online education platform.
- Integrate new technologies and features to enhance the learning experience for our users.
- Apply learning theories, such as behaviourism, cognitivism, and constructivism, to design courses that promote engagement and knowledge retention.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of instructional design through testing and analysis, making improvements as necessary.
- Communicate project progress and updates clearly and effectively with stakeholders.
- Responsible for the management of files, data and resources associated with eLearning development and media production, including website file uploads and backend website maintenance.
About You
- Proven experience in instructional design and eLearning development.
- Strong visual design skills to create visually appealing and user-friendly online learning experiences.
- Strong understanding of learning theories and their practical application in course design.
- Proficiency in using instructional design software authoring tools (Articulate – Storyline & Rise 360), and learning management systems, with specific experience in WordPress CMS and LearnDash LMS.
- Ability to think creatively and critically to design and evaluate engaging learning experiences.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive and innovative mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Adaptable with a shifting workload.
