An exciting opportunity has come up within our Credit team in our Transport division at the FMH Group. We are looking for a Credit Controller to join our team. The transport division comprises of some great brands such as CouriersPlease, Border Express, BagTrans, and Spectrum Transport.

As a Credit Controller, your role is to proactively minimise financial risk to the business by the collection of overdue debt, whilst building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What the role looks like:

  • Collection of all outstanding debt via targeted communication strategy
  • Customer queries (including disputes) to be resolved in a timely manner
  • Regular communication with Account Management teams and customers
  • Use of the Aged Trial Balance, and diary notes in ERP system to proactively monitor outstanding debt to facilitate timely and complete collection
  • Manage customer credit limits and make recommendations according to customer risk profile and/or customer spend
  • Daily banking and reconciliation requirements
  • Maintenance of an assigned debtor/s ledger, including accuracy of debtor information, reconciliations, and clearance of unmatched items
  • Monthly statements, reminder letters and copy invoices submitted to customers as required
  • Assistance with regular reporting, as requested
  • Any additional duties as delegated by management

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Credit/ Collections/ AR role
  • Extensive exposure to customer base, including high levels of experience in customer excellence
  • Strong experience in influencing outcomes
  • Proven ability to manipulate, analyse & interpret raw data in Excel
