The Role:

Our client is seeking an ambitious and motivated leader to drive operations and customer service excellence at their Oakleigh branch. This hands-on role requires a proactive manager who leads by example, fosters a high-performing team, and continuously improves branch operations. This is not a desk-based management position - it demands an active, engaged leader who thrives on teamwork and delivering results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily branch operations and ensure efficiency
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Lead, coach, and develop a customer-focused team
  • Drive sales growth and profitability
  • Analyse reports and take action to improve performance
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and cost control
  • Monitor credit control and debt recovery
  • Ensure security and maintenance of branch assets
  • Liaise with other branches and head office
  • Maintain compliance with company standards
  • Handle banking, cash balancing, and some manual lifting

About You:

  • Proven leadership experience in a similar role
  • Strong ability to coach and motivate a team
  • Customer-focused with excellent relationship-building skills
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to analyse reports and drive business improvements
  • Experience in purchasing, stock control, and credit management
  • Willingness to continue training and development
