Purpose

The Construction Manager is responsible for leading a team of building supervisors (digital and on-road) to achieve the timely and cost-efficient completion of awarded building projects. The Construction Manager will identify training opportunities, assist with dispute resolution and drive customer service, quality, safety, timeliness and financial performance of the supervision team.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Lead the Supervisors to deliver quality building works in keeping with the scope of works and allocated budget.

  • Ensure supervisors manage and track accurate budget breakdowns.

  • Deliver to the business successful project results.

  • Assist and lead supervisors to plan, supervise and manage projects with timely and profitable execution of construction works.

  • Ensure the construction team plan, schedule and drive multiple small to medium domestic and commercial construction projects.

  • Assist supervisors to ensure trades/suppliers adhere to purchase orders, SOW's and quote requests.

  • Attending onsite to review projects.

  • Ensure the project construction schedules, budgets, and profitability are achieved.

  • Drive, manage and adhere company safety processes on all jobs

  • Promote and drive the quality of construction through the construction team

  • Lead the team to ensure revenue targets and other KPIs are met as required

  • Identify training opportunities within the construction team

  • Work with the General Works Manager and team leads to achieve business objectives.

  • Work with the General Works Manager and BDM to strengthen client relationships.

  • Regularly report to the General Works Manager on KPIs, project performance, and budgets.

About you

  • 5 years' experience in a similar role.

  • QBCC Site Supervisor Licence

  • Current valid driving licence.
