Business Development Manager
to help accelerate growth across the renewables and power grids sector.
About the Role
This is a strategic and senior client-facing role focused on expanding market presence, deepening key account relationships, and driving integrated energy solutions. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the company's sales strategy and unlocking new opportunities across solar, wind, battery storage, and grid infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth and pipeline development, especially with key accounts.
- Lead business development initiatives across Australia and the broader ANZ region.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with developers, financiers, and energy stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Represent the company at industry events and client meetings.
What You Bring
- 15+ years' experience in renewables and/or grid infrastructure in Australia, with at least 5 years in a commercial, business development or sales-focused role.
- Strong experience working for a consultancy.
- Experience or exposure with project management and/or delivery is an advantage.
- Strong network within the Australian renewable energy industry.
- Proven success in lead generation, contract negotiation, and full sales lifecycle management.
- Experience in utility-scale wind, solar, battery storage, and grid projects.
- Excellent communication, pitching, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
