The Opportunity

We're building something new and exciting at Stockland a dedicated team of WHS Managers across the country

We're hiring several WHS Managers to join our Safety team across Australia – this role will be based in Perth, WA. This role is pivotal in driving Stockland's WHS Strategy and embedding a proactive safety culture across our Development and Investment Management (IM) and Construction operations.

Your tasks will include:

  • Lead the implementation of Stockland's WHS management strategy, systems and Standards of Safety
  • Maintain a visible WHS leadership presence across operations and offices
  • Provide expert WHS advice and coaching to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the identification and management of WHS risks, with a focus on Acute High Risk Activities (AHRA)
  • Guide incident management processes including facilitating incident investigations for the most serious and ensure lessons learned are shared and acted upon
  • Facilitate learning programs including a high impact frontline leader program and contribute to WHS data reporting and analysis
  • Implement health and wellbeing initiatives in collaboration with internal teams

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A minimum Diploma qualification or Degree in WHS, Risk, Environmental Management, Science or a related technical discipline
  • An established career in WHS, ideally within construction, asset management or both
  • Experience or exposure in high-risk industries such as infrastructure, coal, mining, gas or energy
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and best practice management systems
  • Familiarity with WHS systems, assurance processes and investigation methodologies, including experience managing critical incidents
  • Crisis management experience and exposure to managing critical level incidents is highly desirable
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication, coaching and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for safety and a proactive approach to risk management
