Natural Areas Manager

Permanent Position – South East Queensland

We are a leading Natural Area Management organisation operating across South-East Queensland. With a strong focus on ecological restoration and sustainable land management, we take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients, communities, and the environment. Our team is committed to exceptional service and project excellence, supporting a diverse client base including local and state government, utility providers, developers, mining operations, and private landholders.

We are currently seeking a Natural Areas Manager to join our leadership team. This position requires a motivated and experienced professional with demonstrated capabilities in sales, project delivery, stakeholder management, and team collaboration. The ideal candidate will bring proactive leadership, a strong safety and compliance mindset, and a proven ability to identify and implement quality and efficiency improvements across operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and submit quotes and tenders in response to client requests.
  • Manage client accounts and foster strong relationships to drive customer satisfaction and business growth.
  • Support project delivery through collaboration with operational teams to achieve agreed outcomes and KPIs.
  • Contribute to new business development and promote the company across key sectors.
  • Coordinate with internal management to ensure timely and effective project execution in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Provide on-ground support for field works as needed to meet delivery milestones.
  • Assist with the maintenance and servicing of small plant and equipment where required.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Natural Areas Management or similar role.
  • Diploma of Conservation and Land Management (or equivalent qualification).
  • Sound plant identification skills (native and weed species) relevant to South-East Queensland.
  • Strong understanding of ecological restoration principles and best-practice implementation.
  • Experience in sales, quoting, tender submissions, and account management.
  • Proficient in project management and coordination across multiple stakeholders.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Working knowledge of WHS requirements; WHS qualifications desirable.
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Additional Qualifications (desirable but not essential)
  • ACDC Licence
  • Chainsaw Level 1 & 2
  • Experience with minor civil landscape construction (e.g. tracks, drainage, erosion management)
  • Knowledge of machinery operation
  • General Construction Safety Induction (Blue/White Card)
  • Open Manual Driver's Licence
