Flexible across NRMMRRD business centres, we're seeking 2 x AO5 Senior Project Officers to support the delivery of innovative projects within the Natural Resource
Programs team. You'll coordinate projects, manage deadlines, and apply problemsolving skills to deliver improvements in the governance and administration of natural resource management (NRM) funding programs. As one of two Senior Project Officer within the Natural Resource Programs team, you'll play an important role in delivering projects that support Queensland's natural resource management priorities. Each day, you'll coordinate and manage diverse projects, exercising judgement and problem-solving skills to monitor progress, identify issues and propose solutions, often under tight deadlines.
You'll undertake research and analysis, providing expert advice to leadership on relevant legislation and policy to inform program development, evaluation and reporting. Your work will contribute directly to the delivery of effective monitoring and reporting frameworks for Queensland's NRM Programs.
A key part of your role will be implementing policies and procedures for grant funding programs, ensuring operations align with legislation, regulations and departmental frameworks. You'll prepare high-quality information for senior staff, including written and verbal briefings, reports, and advice on complex and sensitive matters. Strong communication skills will help you build trust and productive relationships with stakeholders, while contributing to government commitments and community outcomes.
You'll also support the governance and administration of funding programs, contributing to submissions, briefing papers and executive-style meetings. By managing competing priorities, staying organised, and maintaining strong networks, you'll ensure programs are delivered to a high standard and continuously improved.
