Reporting directly to the Board, you'll be a key Responsible Person under the Aged Care Act 2024, leading the commissioning of our new facility and building a culture of dignity, respect, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the commissioning and accreditation of our 46-bed residential service

  • Working on the ground, you will work across both home care and our residential facility.

  • Driving strategic, operational, clinical, and financial performance to meet Strengthened Standards.

  • Overseeing clinical governance, including safe medication management, SIRS reporting, and care outcomes.

  • Managing budgets, AN-ACC assessments, and prudential standards for sustainable funding.

  • Building a high-performing, values-based team with strong workforce retention.

  • Engaging transparently with the Board, staff, residents, families, and regulators.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years' leadership experience in aged care (e.g., Residential Manager, Facility Manager).

  • Proven success in commissioning new services and achieving accreditation.

  • Strong knowledge of Aged Care Act 2024, Strengthened Standards, SIRS, and ACQSC requirements.

  • Expertise in financial management, AN-ACC assessments, and prudential standards.

  • Tertiary qualifications in nursing, health, management, or governance (AHPRA registration desirable).

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in clinical governance and risk management.

  • Familiarity with ISO 31000 Risk Management principles or similar frameworks.

  • Postgraduate qualifications in health, governance, or business administration.
