What the role looks like
Reporting to the Manager, Compliance, you will be a key contributor in the following areas:
- Investigating compliance incidents and breaches, conducting root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintaining incident and breach registers and ensuring timely reporting.
- Conducting due diligence reviews on PDSs, marketing material, and web content to ensure accuracy and regulatory alignment.
- Developing and delivering compliance training to boost awareness of obligations and track effectiveness.
- Supporting compliance with AFS Licence, APRA, AUSTRAC and other regulatory requirements.
- Providing compliance advice on a wide range of issues, escalating high-risk matters when necessary.
- Planning and executing periodic compliance reviews and audits, reporting findings to senior management.
- Contributing to Board and Committee reporting by collating data, insights, and commentary.
- Engaging in cross-functional projects and forums to share compliance insights and strengthen risk culture.
Who are we looking for?
We're on the lookout for passionate individuals who embody our values. If you have the following, we want to hear from you:
- Experience in risk, assurance, or compliance within financial services or superannuation.
- Strong knowledge of key legislation (Corporations Act, SIS Act, Privacy Act, AML/CTF, ASIC/ APRA/ AUSTRAC rules).
- Ability to interpret Trust Deeds, legal and regulatory documents, and government policy.
- Proven stakeholder engagement skills, able to build strong relationships at all levels.
- RG146 accreditation (or willingness to obtain) and familiarity with regulatory guides and frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with strong influencing and advisory skills.
- Highly organised, strong problem-solving ability, and commercially focused decision-making.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively, with a practical "hands-on" approach.
