About the Role

This role supports the Remediation Lead to deliver Financial Planning remediation projects within Australia Commercial Division.

The role will also have oversight of application of remediation principles, be responsible for reviewing customer communication and collateral, and have oversight of advice remediation cases to determine refund amount and consistency across cohorts.

Role Type: 6 months Temporary contract
Role Location: Level 43/55 Collins, Melbourne VIC 3000
Work Hours: Full time(40hrs/week)

What will your day look like?

As a Remediation associate, you will be accountable for:

Ensure that milestones and commitments are met in line with remediation principles, agreed timelines and objectives.Liaise directly with key stakeholders to drive forward to remediation and ensure milestones are met that meet the AustraliaCommercial business objectives and have the right customer outcomes.Providing training and support for financial advice related remediations to ensure a customer focused approach that is conductedfairly, honestly, and efficiently, ensuring adherence with governance requirements and in line with the Remediation andGovernance Framework.Supports monitoring and addressing customer remediation initiatives aligning with agreed upon timeframe, provisions, andframework.Engaging with Assurance teams, Operational Risk and Compliance teams and Audit in relation to Remediation, Compliance andGovernance
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Advice: ASIC RG 146 compliantCommunication: The ability to convey and comprehend information effectively in both spoken and written formats.Influencing: The ability to gain the commitment of others through a range of techniquesGovernance: Providing governance expertise to support the effective operation of a team, function, project or entity. This includesdeveloping and implementing governance frameworks (including rules, relationships, systems and processes) to assist with theproper exercise and control of authority.Critical thinking: The ability to use logic and reasoning to analyse, evaluate and synthesize a range of information to understandan opportunity or challenge.Risk and issue management: The ability to identify and assess risks, determine the corrective action required to control oreliminate the risks and effectively manage issues that arise.Planning and Prioritisation: Planning and prioritising what needs to be done (including people, process and technologyimplications) in order to deliver upon customer/user needs and strategic priorities. This includes identifying, planning for, trackingand resolving dependencies.
