Abode Living was established over 30 years ago and continues to produce world class bed linen in Australia. You can be part of a friendly and dynamic working environment, where you can see the products right from their initial concept, through to the production and then on to the end user.

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused casual retail stylist, with a passion for textiles and Interiors Styling, to join our retail sales styling team at our showroom in Camberwell, VIC, to work 2 – 3 days per week.

We are a small, dynamic team and there are many exciting facets to what we do - but customer focused sales are the priority. This involves consulting with customers in our tactile showroom to make product selections and processing online and phone enquiries and sales.

The Role:

  • Constantly delivering a high level of customer service to ensure brand loyalty and repeat business
  • Upholding Abode's retail operational standards and procedures
  • Responsible to contribute to a team culture which promotes transparency, openness, problem solving & continuous improvement
  • Working alongside the Store Manager to ensure the store's integrity and targets
  • Nurture internal relationships with other departments of the business
  • Maintaining the highest level of personal and store presentation standards

The Candidate:

  • Proven success in delivering highly engaging customer service
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Have an interest or qualifications in Interior Design, Interior Decoration or Styling
  • Are interested in Social Media and content creation – we'd love someone who enjoys making content whilst in the showroom
  • Show a keen understanding of both local and global interior design
  • Available to work flexible, casual hours – a minimum of one weekday and on Saturday.

This position offers a minimum of 10 hours work per week and a maximum of 30 hours, in peak trade or holiday periods. The flexibility of the roster could suit a tertiary student or a parent or carer with school aged children.
