As part of this group, our Peter Vickers and Associates (PVA) team prides themselves on providing a professional and personal service covering a wide range of accounting, taxation, superannuation, investment and book-keeping services, tailored to suit current and prospective clients.

About the Role

This role can be worked either Full-time or Part-time.

We are currently seeking a skilled
Accountant
 to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients on a range of accounting, compliance and business advisory matters and provide optimal client service with the provision of quality, timely and cost-effective accounting and business services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and build the relationship with PVA clients
  • Responsible for managing clients' portfolios across accounting matters - finance support, budgets and cash flow forecast, CRS management and other accounting related matters.
  • Analyse, prepare and present financial and non-financial information such as accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and compliance.
  • Responsible for managing clients' portfolios across taxation matters - BAS Management, Tax Returns Lodgment, Provide business advice and solve problems, Liaise with ATO, Preparing Single Touch Payroll, Fringe Benefit Tax matters and other tax related matters.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory and legislative changes, policy changes, and compliance regulations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Must have either completed or be pursuing CA or related qualification
  • Strong understanding of accounting and tax principles
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficiency with any accounting system and Microsoft Office Suite
