About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Dispensary Technician for a unique hybrid position, working part of the week from our Hallam VIC head office and part remotely from home. This pivotal role supports over 40 pharmacies within our group, ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy, and excellence in dispensary processes and stock management — without being based in a retail pharmacy environment.

You will be the go-to expert for:

  • Training and Supporting Dispensary Technicians across the group
  • Remote Dispensing Assistance to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Stock Management for multiple sites via the Buy-It-Right platform
  • Reporting, troubleshooting, and optimising stock levels across all locations

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional, ongoing training and mentoring to pharmacy dispensary staff
  • Facilitate remote dispensing workflows in compliance with regulations
  • Manage and monitor stock levels for over 40 pharmacies
  • Ensure purchasing efficiency and wastage reduction via Buy-It-Right
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, managers, and suppliers to maintain supply chain integrity
  • Regularly review, analyse, and report on inventory movement and key metrics
  • Contribute to procedural development and continuous improvement initiatives

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Current qualification and solid track record as a Dispensary Technician or Pharmacy Stock Controller
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-site pharmacy operations
  • Strong knowledge of Buy-It-Right stock control systems
  • Proficiency with Fred and Z Software platforms (highly advantageous)
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to changing priorities
