OSM and our client have exciting opportunities in Darwin on small vessels with a view for PERMANENCY

We are seeking Offshore Marine Crew, new entrants also welcomed, who have OFFSHORE AMSA competencies in all ranks with ability to sail on vessels under 500 Gross Tonnes who may want a Sea Change from the larger vessels to smaller live aboard vessels.

These fabulous ongoing opportunities are also available for NEW entrants who may have just upgraded their tickets from Near Coastal to Offshore Foreign Going. The work is exciting, varied and ongoing for the right candidates.

Roles are IMMEDIATE, initially casual ongoing with a view for PERMANENCY and long-term work crew changing in Darwin Port.

You will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessels. We can offer ongoing, full-time work for the right candidates.

What we're looking for

  • Formal "AMSA" qualifications in all ranks is REQUIRED for these roles.
  • IRs who ALSO hold a Coxswains Grade 1 or higher i.e. MC5 or MC4 will be HIGHLY REGARDED.
  • A Valid Australian Passport is REQUIRED for these roles.
  • Candidates that are used to smaller vessels and a close-knit crew and living arrangements or wanting to downsize vessels or be closer to home in Darwin are URGED to apply for these positions.
  • Ability to commence pre-screening IMMEDIATELY will be key to pre-training completion for various joining dates in the next few months,
  • A current police check within the last 12 months would be highly regarded otherwise ability to pass a police check is REQUIRED.
  • A Baseline clearance qualification would be highly regarded.
