About the RoleJoin Swinburne Research as an HDR Candidature and Progress Specialist and play a pivotal role in shaping the journey of Higher Degree by Research candidates. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to guide students and supervisors through key milestones—from enrolment to thesis submission—ensuring smooth, compliant, and well-supported progress. You'll be the go-to expert for interpreting policy, managing data integrity, and streamlining processes across multiple systems including CAPP and Student One.

About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

·       Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and applying policies and procedures to ensure compliance with University and research administration requirements, high level of organization skills and being able to work around the timelines provided.

·       Demonstrated ability to anticipate future requirements and to analyze problems and identify solutions which might require rethinking and adaptation of policies and procedures as part of continuous process improvement.

·       Excellent written and oral communication skills to enable the incumbent to liaise effectively with staff, candidates and the public and to generate high quality written material.

·       Demonstrated advanced skills in the use of standard office software and demonstrated capacity to learn new programs. Knowledge of and experience in the use of databases to maintain data and generate reports. Prior use of Student One will be an advantage.

·       Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and applying policies and procedures to ensure compliance with university and research.

Qualifications

·       A degree with subsequent substantial relevant experience; or equivalent professional experience and expertise.
