ABOUT THE ROLE

We're seeking an experienced Senior Trade Specialist to drive sales for our trade business across the Gold Coast and Brisbane regions. This is an exciting opportunity to build and nurture relationships with architects, interior designers, and trade professionals while expanding our commercial presence in these dynamic coastal markets.

You'll take ownership of trade partnerships, project management, and business development while delivering exceptional service that positions MCM House as the preferred furniture partner for design professionals. This is a results-driven sales hunting role where you'll be accountable for individual performance and the strategic growth of your territory.

TERRITORY FOCUS

  • Primary regions:
    Gold Coast and Brisbane
  • Trade sales closed in Brisbane will be attributed to Fortitude Valley Showroom
  • Trade sales closed in Gold Coast will be attributed to Byron Bay Showroom

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain existing relationships with architects, interior designers, and commercial clients across Gold Coast and Brisbane
  • Identify and pursue new trade sales opportunities through strategic outreach, networking, and industry events
  • Manage complex trade projects from specification to delivery, ensuring seamless execution
  • Process trade orders and coordinate with design teams through NetSuite with precision
  • Provide design consultation and product specifications to trade professionals
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure timely project deliveries across the region
  • Track trade performance metrics and provide insights on market trends and opportunities
  • Drive individual monthly sales targets and key performance indicators with consistent delivery
  • Execute strategic sales planning to maximize territory potential
  • Take individual ownership for contributing to the greater success of the region

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven trade or B2B sales experience (preferably furniture/interior design industry)
  • Established network of relationships with architects, designers, or commercial clients
  • Strong project management and coordination skills with track record of successful deliveries
  • Passion for design and deep understanding of commercial furniture requirements
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities across all levels
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently across large geographic territory
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within Gold Coast and Brisbane regions
  • Strategic mindset with solutions-focused approach to complex projects
  • Driven to consistently achieve and deliver individual monthly sales targets and key performance indicators
  • Sales-focused approach that requires strategic planning and execution
  • Commitment to individual contribution to the greater success of the region

Desirable:

  • Experience in furniture, homewares, or commercial interiors industry
  • Existing relationships with Gold Coast/Brisbane design community
  • Knowledge of commercial procurement processes
