About us:
Springsure Multi-Purpose Health Service (MPHS), a partnership of Queensland Health, the Commonwealth Government, and the local community, delivering integrated health care services to the residents of the Central Highlands Health Service District. It is located approximately 70km south of Emerald and services around 1500 people in the district with a town population of approximately 1100 people.
Springsure MPHS provides acute inpatient services for up to 6 acute patients, respite, palliative care and 12 high care residential care residents. The 2-bed Emergency Department provides a 24-hour emergency service complemented by the use of Telehealth support. Emergency retrieval is usually via road to Emerald Hospital or air to Rockhampton Hospital.
About the role:
In this position you will provide efficient and effective delivery of food services, by maintaining compliance with established statutory regulations pertaining to safe and hygienic operations of the kitchen and the production of food menu items for a variety of diets.
About you:
While not mandatory, the possession of a trade-based qualification or demonstrated equivalent level of skill in commercial and diet cooking would be well regarded.
- You will demonstrate an understanding of food safety regulations and demonstrated ability to apply these skills in the workplace.
- You will demonstrate ability to prepare well presented, nutritious meals including special diets.
- You will demonstrate ability to communicate effectively both orally and written within a team environment where quality client care is the main aim of the service.
- You will demonstrate ability to work without direct supervision and follow written and oral directions.
- You will demonstrate ability to provide guidance to other staff in accordance with approved and established work practices.
What we offer:
- An hourly rate between $ $44.57 p.h. (including 25% casual loading)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
