About the role:

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Pack House Operations (Green Beans and Sweet Corn) at our Bowen facility in North Queensland (full-time perm).

This role will require you to oversee the Maintenance team and provide advice to Operations on matters concerning Maintenance and Reliability.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervision of rostered Maintenance team
  • Foster an environment where safety, quality, productivity and continual improvement are part of everyday activities
  • Understand and comply with all Company procedures, policies, documentation and records, ensuring they are maintained and followed
  • Be visible throughout the organisation by regular communication with your Team and other Senior Managers
  • Delivering regular communications to your team
  • Work collaboratively to achieve goals at Team, site and Company level
  • Build a culture where best practice and innovation are encouraged, acted upon and communicated throughout the Company
  • Ensure Management is kept fully informed of relevant decisions, events and activities
  • Perform all other reasonable duties as directed by Management expected of someone within this position

To be successful in the position you will have:

Experience:

  • Experience with Refrigeration Systems
  • Experience with fault finding and repairs on pneumatic or hydraulic systems
  • Experience with Packaging and Labelling equipment
  • Sound knowledge of Safety and Environmental Standards
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead in a team environment

Skills, knowledge, and abilities:

  • A willingness to learn, be flexible and able to adapt in a multi skilled environment
  • Confident, hardworking team player with good organisation, technical, and leadership skills
  • Good working knowledge of maintenance systems (e.g. MEX)
  • Be highly organised, reliable and have a strong work ethic.
  • High levels of initiative and the ability to apply discretion and judgment to problem solve
  • Process driven with a commitment for continuous improvement ​​
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical fault-finding abilities
