Newcastle Recycling Solutions is a leader in the recycling industry, processing and providing innovative material solutions to the mining, manufacturing, civil and construction industries in NSW. A position has arisen for an experienced professional to join the team as a Sales Manager. Reporting to the Divisional Sales Manager, you will be charged with providing a high level of service and support across the Newcastle-Hunter region.

The role

  • Permanent Full Time Position with competitive base salary and a TOT package (including Fully maintained Company Vehicle & Mobile Phone)
  • Regular interaction with the operations, transport and technical teams are integral to your success in serving customers
  • Exposure to a diverse mix of businesses, operations and markets including natural and recycled materials
  • Proactively canvassing new business opportunities for both incoming feed and outgoing product flows
  • Plenty of scope to contribute and grow professionally, in a technical and management sense
  • Flexible work conditions both on the road and in the office - you can work from Newcastle & the Hunter Valley

About you

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have business development insight and be driven to identify and develop new material and market opportunities
  • Have demonstrated account management skills and experience with both small and large accounts
  • Ideally have experience in a sales, quoting or technical role in the civil, construction, quarrying, concrete, demolition, recycling, mining or related industries but it is not essential
  • Experience in tendering, quoting, forecasting and CRM systems
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be able to identify and deliver new opportunities
  • Adapt quickly to changing demands
