Molycop is a leading manufacturer of premium quality grinding media supplying the Global mining industry. We require an experienced engineer who is looking to make an impact in a leadership role, as a Senior Sales Engineer, specialising in Cast High Chrome.

The Senior Sales Engineer's focus will be in business development, managing and building strong relationships with new and existing customers, and providing technical support for our grinding media products and services. This role is an excellent opportunity to take your career to the next level. The preferred candidate will be based in Perth, focusing on APAC, although there is some flexibility in respect of location.

The role

  • Provide authoritative Technical advice and support on Cast High Chrome grinding media, particularly it's value in mineral recovery circuits, to our Sales team and customers.
  • Develop and manage sales internationally, building strong business relationships with external stakeholders, suppliers, and / or advisors.
  • Develop Business strategy for executing sales plan for new and existing product.
  • Build new sales domestically and internationally, soliciting and negotiating sales according to Business Plan.
  • Co-ordinate with existing Sales team, Customer Service, Applications, Metallurgy and other personnel to expeditiously execute sales and support for our products and
  • Managing yearly and monthly customer forecasts, as well as maintaining technical and commercial data files in co-ordination with other business units.

What you Need:

  • Mineral Processing, Metallurgy Degree or Masters from an accredited institution.
  • 10 years mineral processing experience with deep knowledge of milling, mineral processing, and related technical product applications with specific knowledge of Cast High Chrome media.
  • Business professional with well-established network in the mining sector and related international account management experience preferred.
  • Extensive technical knowledge, with ability to synthesize and communicate technical details and present value-based business proposals to customers and sales team. Cast High Chrome specialist knowledge is essential.
  • Experience working in an international, multidisciplinary environment with engineers, consulting staff and project managers.

  • Strong business acumen, integrity, excellent judgement, and decision-making skills. Efficient time manager with brilliant organisational abilities. Self-motivated, problem-solver with loads of energy.
  • Highly creative and flexible self-starter who has a strong track record of proven results.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required.
