Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and versatile professional to join our team as a Casual or Permenant/Part Time Garment Alterations Specialist. Certificate III in Apparel, Fashion and Textiles would be advantageous but not essential.

The primary responsibility of this role is to modify workwear and corporate garments, performing tasks such as cutting sleeves to short sleeves, adding reflective tape, sewing on pockets and more. In addition, the successful candidate will be trained in other areas of the business to help keep our machines running and keeping a continuous workflow throughout our production line. Must be a current resident of Australia.

Responsibilities:

Garment Alterations: Perform precise alterations on workwear and corporate garments, including but not limited to cutting sleeves to short sleeves, adjusting lengths, sewing on reflective tape to pants and shirts and sewing on pockets to polo's. This is all done following specific design and placement guidelines.

Folding/QA: Quality check and folding of garments once completed from production and ready for despatch and also completing the quality check at stage 1 before orders are moved into production.

Embroidery Operation: Learn and operate embroidery machines to customize garments with logos, names, and other designs. Each garment needs to be framed and prepared correctly to ensure the end result is up to standard. This will be a support role and utilised if/when needed.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in garment alterations within the apparel industry is a must.

Detail-oriented with a keen eye for precision and quality.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills.

Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Willingness to undergo training in operating embroidery machines. Experience is an advantage but not necessary.

Additional Information:

This is a casual or permenant/part time position that offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for skill development. Training will be provided for the successful applicant. It could lead to a full time position in the future.
