Job Title: Male Support Worker – Community Participation & Assistance (Male Clients)

We serve clients of all ages and backgrounds in the Central West region.

The Role:

You will join our team to support male clients in meaningful community participation and day-to-day assistance. This role focuses on enabling engagement, social inclusion and active participation in the community. Key responsibilities include:

• Facilitating and supporting male clients to engage in community activities: recreation, social outings, appointments, volunteer or work-based access.
• Assisting with transport/travel to/from community engagements, appointments, and social outings.
• Supporting clients with daily living skills in community settings: meal preparation for outings, organising activities, shopping, transport support.
• Providing companionship, encouragement, mentoring and peer-role support to help male participants build social networks and independence.
• Working with the client, their family/support network and our coordination team to plan and deliver community participation goals aligned with the client's preferences.
• Completing documentation: shift notes, progress towards goals, incident reports and required records.
• Ensuring the support environment promotes dignity, respect, social inclusion, and promotes client-driven choice.

About You – Ideal Candidate:

• Male, energetic, positive-minded and comfortable interacting with male clients in community-oriented support roles.
• Experience (or strong interest) in supporting people with disability (especially male clients) engaged in community participation, social access, recreation and daily living in community settings.
• Comfortable with transport and outings, and supporting participation in community-based settings rather than purely in-home care.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, reliable, punctual, flexible and able to work both independently and as part of a small team.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness/ability to travel locally in the Orange region.
• Current Working With Children Check (if required), NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain them.
• Certificate III (or higher) in Disability Support / Individual Support / Community Services is preferred but not essential if you bring the right attitude and demonstrated ability.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for community participation activities.
