**The Preschool**
KU Cammeray Preschool is an exceeding and thriving community hub located in Cammeray, a preschool for children aged 3 - 5 years of age, open Monday to Friday between 8:30am - 4pm during NSW school term time.
The service has a focus on school readiness and incorporates this into their program through activities that promote independence and development. There is a strong lens of sustainability and community engagement with the longstanding team. At KU, we value diversity, inclusion, and excellence. **The Role**
Basic knowledge of the Circle of Security approach - an understanding of this relationship-based early intervention model is beneficial, as it supports our commitment to fostering secure attachment relationships between educators, children, and families.
Familiarity with the Playspace approach - awareness of this trauma-informed and play-based practice framework is advantageous, as it aligns with our emphasis on emotional safety, child-led learning, and therapeutic engagement.
We are looking for a **Certificate III**qualified educator to join the team total of **12 hours per week, 6 hours on Monday's and Tuesday's**with the opportunity to accept additional shifts via our KUCas booking system if desired.
**Applicants should have**:
- Australian working rights
- A current NSW Working with Children Check
- An ACECQA recognised Certificate III qualification
- Completed Child Protection Training as well as demonstrated understanding of current child safe practices
- Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
- Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
