The Position
The purpose of this position is to coordinate and control production and service activities consistent with the organizations cost and quality objectives. This is achieved by overseeing local production activities, providing field services support, providing customer/equipment familiarization, relaying feedback for product development and demonstrating equipment operation for customers. Some tasks encountered in this role-
- Working with the local production team ensuring tasks are on schedule and safety aspects and other requirements are adhered to. Provide feedback on job status.
- Provide technical support/trouble shooting via phone, email and on-site when required. Report and participate with customer meetings and updates. Conduct scheduled customer-service site visits.
- Provide on-site familiarization of new equipment to customers with a core focus on maintenance operations. Provide ongoing follow up until customer is self-sufficient.
- Observe customer requirements or potential modifications for future product development to be implemented at factory build stage. Maintain regular communications regarding factory upgrades to machines in stock and in service.
- Be available to provide technical assistance in joint sales calls and key presentations. Demonstrate equipment for live customer presentations.
Position Requirements
- Relevant Trade Certificate, Cert III Auto-Electrician/Electrician with mechanic qualification ideally Cert III Mobile Plant or strong knowledge and experience with Mobile plant.
- Experience working within the mining industry, open cut or underground, ideally in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and customer alike. Skilled with both written and verbal communications.
- Some depth of knowledge/experience with Mobile Plant.
- Australian Citizen or PR is Essential as is a valid driver license and passport.
- The ability to obtain a Police clearance and the ability to complete mine site medical assessments.
- SAP or FSM experience highly regarded.
- Cert IV Training and Assessment, High-Voltage Certificate and First Aid Certificate highly regarded.
