Responsibilities
The primary role of the Vice President is to grow the Asia Pacific region year on year by effectively leading and managing the entire P&L, the APAC Management team and all activities across industries and segments in the division. This role will manage a direct team of 3 reports with a further 3 dotted line function reports.
The Role Will Oversee The Following
- Business activities in the SIG division within the Asia Pacific Region
- Offices and people located in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and other APAC locations where applicable.
The ability to influence, negotiate and manage stakeholders both internally and externally will be critical to the success of this role and contribution to the overall business targets. The successful candidate will achieve this through a passion and interest in technology, the ability to build successful relationships, possess a proactive nature in driving outcomes and have strong financial and sales acumen and a proven track record at leading a successful business.
Importantly, the VP APAC will demonstrate Hexagon and NewCo's Core Values through their behaviour and work.
OBJECTIVES / MAIN ACTIVITIES
Your main objective is to lead the APAC SIG division by managing and growing the APAC P&L aligned with an aggressive growth strategy.
Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Work closely with Hexagon's SIG Executive management team including the President and CFO as well as other key regional leaders, R&D, Product Centre, Strategy, Marketing, Legal and Human Resources.
- Creating and maintaining strategic relationships with customers, potential customers, partners and vendors.
- Managing the APAC sales engine and ensuring a strategy to build a successful future pipeline
- Managing the APAC delivery engine and ensuring a cost effective model to deliver quality outcoms for customers that are profitable to the business.
- Ensuring cultivation of a positive successful culture within the APAC employee group
- Overseeing the management of regional expense budgets and the satisfactory performance of the business within the region
- Recommending business policy changes and developments as required to deliver and meet business targets within the region
- Ensuring that agreed regional business strategies are implemented
- Assuming accountability under all the relevant country legislation, US export regulations, FCPA requirements and such for the statutory compliance of all regional business activities.
- Acting as chief spokesperson for the division
- Directing, motivating, and developing the APAC Senior Executive team.
- Whilst most of the responsibility of this role would be acting in an executive function, some involvement and/or input in sales and technical activities may be required.
Education / Qualifications
- Degree in Business/Computer Science or other relevant discipline
- MBA or equivalent desirable
- Previous experience in a multi-faceted leadership role in a complex matrix reporting environment
